GV Calgary In The Community

GV Calgary

Community connections are central to the experiences of all students at GV Calgary. First, there is the international community in the School where our students make new friends from around the word. Our students also connect to the community of Calgary, where GV takes its corporate social responsibility seriously with civic projects. Here are some of the projects we are involved in:
  1. Terry Fox Run – Each September, our students walk, bike or run as part of a Canada-wide effort to raise money for cancer research.
  2. Bow River and City Clean Up – Each Spring, we volunteer with other Calgarians to help clean up the environment. We take nature seriously!
  3. Cambridge CELTA Teacher Training – Through our teacher training, we offer free classes to local citizens who are new Canadians.
These projects are great way for students to meet other people in Calgary, to practice English, and to contribute to society.
